The Visual Art League of Lewisville (VAL) is an all-volunteer organization with members who share an interest in the visual arts and fine crafts. We organize multiple member shows each year, provide local artists the opportunity to showcase their work, produce visiting artist lectures, networking groups, educational art activities such as demonstrations, and hands-on projects, and participate in other community events.
In 2001, a group of visual artists who live and work in neighborhoods in Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Double Oak, Copper Canyon, Argyle and Bartonville joined together to create the Cross Timbers Artists Studio Tour. During the tour, member artists open their studios to display their art and working spaces. Many artists also provide demonstrations and hands-on activities in which the public can take part.
The purpose of the Greater Lewisville Arts Alliance is to nurture the development of the arts for the enrichment of the quality of life in the Greater Lewisville community.
The Texas Sculpture Association holds numerous sculpture shows every year as well as a lecture series that covers a wide range of information. TSA holds regular social events and produces a weekly newsletter filled with opportunities and upcoming events. It’s an ideal place to network, share ideas, and get involved in the arts!
